Behaviour expectations and Code of Conduct

We would expect the following from our young people and parents;
  • Attend our meetings on a regular basis
  • Inform us of any absence
  • Arrive on time, but not more than 5 minutes before the session starts
  • Collect on time, but not more than 5 minutes after the session ends
  • To wear and keep the uniform smart and clean
  • To always try their best and give everything a go
  • To always be polite and listen when the leader is talking
  • To be helpful and welcoming to others
  • To highlight any issues directly to the Section Leader in the first instance

We are exceptionally lucky to have a great group of young people at the 18th, but for the purposes of guidelines we would like to make it clear that bad behaviour, rudeness, and bullying will not be tolerated in any of our sections. Should this arise we will talk to you, the parents, in the first instance. Very rarely have we had to exclude any young person from our meetings.

If, for any reason, we feel that a young person’s behaviour is putting themselves or others in danger then we will ask that they are collected immediately. This applies to any meeting, outing or camp.
